Skinome CEO Lydia Engholm on "Slow Skincare"

We sat down with our CEO Lydia Engholm to hear more about her thoughts on consumption habits in the beauty and skin care industry. Like the fast fashion industry, we tend to buy and stock up on more skin care and beauty products than we need. This leads to many products sitting unused on the bathroom shelves to eventually be thrown away without having been fully used. The production, transport and recycling of these products consume valuable resources from our planet.

We want to highlight what we believe is a more sustainable approach when it comes to skin care - "slow skincare". We would like to have this dialogue with you in our community, partly to hear what you think but also to help you make sustainable choices both in terms of what is best for our skin and our planet.
